I loved this book. For a piece written more than 100 years ago, it stands the test of time pretty well. Yes the book is full of cliches like "It was a dark and stormy night" and blatant sexism but you have to remember, this book was published in the 19th century. It's definitely a book that should be on your reading list.

Dumas knows how to write a story. This one is filled with intrigue, romance, politics, friendship, loyalty and action.
