this is the story of a woman who is in a coma after a car accident that, we soon learn, was not really an accident. She can hear people talking around her but otherwise can't see or move. In this way she can try to figure out who tried to kill her (as people either don't realize that she can understand them, or don't care since they are planning to finish killing her anyway).

Premise was intriguing, but the writing was amateurish and unlikely. Bad, even for light reading. Bubble-gum fiction is at least supposed to be sweet-tasting and fun, even if it's also going to be understandably vapid. This "light reading" was just irritating. The books opens like some sort of chick lit wannabe, full of inexplicable bright energy. It degenerates into a late night low budget movie for Lifetime or Oxygen with tired acting and a director who'd rather be somewhere else. It concludes with a deflating sound that stinks. The premise was so fascinating and the result so mundane. Skip it.
