I really enjoy Jodi Picoult's books. They are always well-written and thought-provoking. This was an emotionally heavy read. I was a bit disappointed by the end but I can see why the author ended the story the way that she did.

A great allegorical tale that Picoult constructs around one of the classic masterpieces of literature, Dante's Inferno. Picoult really shows her intelligence in this novel, while providing insightful ideas about hidden meanings within her novel, as well as Dante's. I loved the comic book within the pages that illustrated one of the character's struggles through pictures and vivid artwork that truly made you feel his emotions. I loved the storyline and the characters who each had a different sin in their possession. It is a story about how no one is perfect, and no one makes the right decisions all the time. There is a little bit of sin in all of us, whether we choose to believe it or not. A highly recommended read for anyone who enjoys classic literature, especially the Inferno, and anyone who loves to discover hidden meanings by reading in between the lines of every page.

Rad. Bit difficult to get into with so many characters, and not as awesome as Fun Home but, then, what is?

I can't get over how awesome this is? Alison Bechdel called it 'a scathing and meticulously documented autobiographical triumph', which is VERY TRUE.

The manga had hints of intriguing drama, but didn't explore them very far. Maybe if you read the whole series they're explored. I started with this, the 17th volume, because that's all that was available at the library.

I would have loved this in Jr. High. Not really my sort of thing anymore.

I will probably try other volumes before I give up, though. Doesn't take long to read one.

I AM interested in watching the live-action Dorama, though. ^-^ Maybe even the anime.
